Currently, the PGQA infrastructure is adequate for research development. The construction of a three-story building (ground, first, and second floors) has already been completed for the different areas of research: solid-state chemistry (ground floor), analytical chemistry (first floor), and organic chemistry (second floor). Laboratories are laid out on each floor as follows:

Ground floor:

1) Solid State Chemistry Research Laboratory I: The available area is 40 m2 containing infrastructure for preparing materials and catalysts, benches, and small equipment such as muffles, exhaust hoods, pH meter, UV-VIS spectrophotometer, and pyrolysis unit. It also has a specific room with an X-ray diffractometer (Shimadzu). There are two offices in this space: one intended for laboratory techniques and the other for researchers to hold their meetings with advisers or to accommodate visiting researchers and/or collaborators.

2) Research Laboratory in Solid State Chemistry II: The available area is 40 m2, containing benches, spectrophotometer, pH meter, water stirrers and distillers, a photocatalysis system, and thermostatic baths.

3) Capillary Electrophoresis Laboratory: The available area is 30 m2 and contains side and central benches that house the most recent acquisition equipment, such as a capillary electrophoresis with mass detector in the installation phase, and an HPLC.

First floor:

1) Environmental Chemistry Laboratory: The total available area is 47 m2. It contains lateral and central benches, a UV-Vis spectrophotometer, orbital shakers, pH meters, centrifuges, analytical scales, ball mill, freezers, and refrigerators.

2) Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry: It has a total area of 47 m2 containing side and central benches, centrifuges, a route-evaporator, analytical scales, pH meters, a thermal bath, an ultrasonic bath, an air circulation oven, freezers, and refrigerators.

3) Instrumental Laboratory II: It has a total area of 30 m2 where analytical equipment will be installed.

Second floor:

1) Organic Chemistry Laboratory – Natural products: The total available area is 50 m2 containing side and central benches, two level 1 and level 2 laminar flow hoods, three incubators, an autoclave oven, an analytical balance, and a colony counter.

2) Laboratory of Organic Chemistry – Synthesis: It has a total area of 50 m2 containing a microwave reactor, as well as side and central benches.

In addition to the laboratories mentioned in the Specific Building, the PGQA has an analytical center on the ground floor of the chemistry building, in which the following equipment is installed:

1) Atomic Spectrometry Laboratory: The total available area is 14.7 m2. It contains two flame atomic absorption spectrometers, an atomic fluorescence spectrometer, and a UV-VIS spectrophotometer.

2) FTIR Laboratory: It has a total available area of 14.7 m2 containing a molecular absorption spectrometer in the infrared region.

3) HPLC Laboratory: It has a total available area of 14.7 m2 containing a high-performance liquid chromatograph.

4) Thermal Analysis Laboratory: It has a total available area of 14.7 m2 containing a DSC and TG-DTA analyzer.

5) Catalytic Evaluation Laboratory: The total available area is 28.7 m2. It contains an area analyzer, adsorption isotherms, a volume and pore diameter (Micromeritics ASAP 2020), a UV-Vis spectrophotometer with a diffuse reflectance accessory, an evaluation unit catalytic, and a gas chromatograph (Shimadzu).

6) TPR Laboratory: It has a total available area of 14.7 m2, containing a programmed temperature reduction reactor and gas chromatograph.
